3–5 sessions depending on the case. The exact number of sessions is personalised according to the condition of the scar and the expected results.

Aftercare recommendations
Apply a healing or repairing cream to the treated area for 1–15 days, together with sun protection. In some cases, depigmenting creams are recommended to prevent or reduce post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation following laser treatment.
After 7–15 days, usual skincare products can be resumed, together with SPF 50+ sun protection.
Results
With each session, the results are cumulative and the improvement increases. In addition, once the sessions are complete, the skin continues to improve over the following 3–6 months as new cells continue to produce new collagen.
How does CO2 laser treatment for scars work?
The CO2 laser acts on the epidermis and dermis by heating the epidermis and the collagen in the dermis to high temperatures. This promotes epidermal renewal and denaturation of old collagen and scar fibrosis in the dermis, stimulating the formation of new collagen.
The CO2 laser is fractional, creating microscopic columns in the epidermis and dermis while leaving the tissue between the columns intact. The tissue within these columns renews itself, producing new collagen and a healthier, better-nourished epidermis, supported by the surrounding healthy tissue, which promotes this repair.
