How does LED treatment for acne work?
We use a lamp with multiple LEDs at different wavelengths and colours, selected according to each case. When the light reaches the skin, it harnesses the natural biological effects of light to repair and stimulate cells. In this way, some bacteria are inactivated and skin inflammation is reduced.
LED treatment for acne can be used on its own or combined with laser, peels or oral treatment. The doctor will assess your case and determine the most appropriate treatment.
What LED light do I need for my acne?
Blue LED light
- Reduces acne inflammation.
- Produces a single oxygen molecule to slow the growth of bacteria that contribute to acne.
Yellow LED light
- Has an anti-inflammatory effect.
- Increases blood circulation and oxygenates the skin.
- Promotes alignment and improves the tone of collagen fibres.
Red LED light
- Stimulates collagen formation and cell renewal.
- Increases ATP (fuel for our cells).
- Reduces pore size and mild scarring.
- Reduces hyperpigmentation and inflammation.
- Helps achieve smoother, healthier-looking skin. Increases circulation and moisture retention
