What does facial Thermage involve?
Thermage FLX uses patented medical monopolar radiofrequency technology to tighten the face and neck, heating the deeper layers of the skin with complete safety . It is the most advanced version of Thermage, with improvements in speed, comfort and efficacy.

How does Thermage work?
- It delivers deep heat through radiofrequency, which reaches the deeper layers of the skin and heats the collagen tissue.
- It contracts the skin’s existing collagen immediately and stimulates the formation of new collagen. The skin acquires a younger-looking, firmer appearance from the deeper layers.
- It uses AccuRETM technology, which automatically adjusts the energy according to skin resistance, together with vibration pulses and cooling to make the treatment more tolerable.

Number of Thermage sessions
Thermage radiofrequency for the face and neck only requires one session lasting approximately an hour and a half without anaesthetic. The facial tightening benefits can last around 2 years depending on the type and condition of the skin.
For some patients, annual Thermage FLX treatment may be considered as part of “regenerative maintenance”.
Recommendations after a facial Thermage session
After the session, you may notice mild warmth and redness that usually subside within a few hours; soothe the area with cool compresses (without applying ice directly) and use a gentle repairing cream.
During the first 24–48 hours, maintain strict SPF 50+ sun protection, avoid direct sun exposure, saunas and very hot showers, and continue with gentle cleansing and generous moisturising.
Price of a Thermage FLX session
The price of Thermage FLX for the face and neck is usually between €1,800 and €3,500 (indicative).
It varies according to the areas treated (face only / face + neck ± décolletage), the tip and number of pulses (coverage), the degree of skin laxity and the session duration.
Results
Thermage provides a subtle immediate tightening effect and progressive improvement in firmness, texture and pores on the face and neck. Thermage combined with other treatments
Thermage FLX + PDO threads
Combining Thermage FLX radiofrequency with PDO threads provides enhanced results when treating skin laxity and improving firmness.
First, we apply Thermage radiofrequency Thermage to the face, which activates collagen formation and contracts the tissue through heat. after 1–2 weeks we insert the threads which act on skin that is already “activated and more receptive”, enhancing the final result with greater firmness and a faster response.
Thermage FLX + Fraxel for the eyelids
This involves a Thermage FLX session using a specific radiofrequency eye “tip” that tightens the skin of the upper and lower eyelids and also opens up the eye area by lifting the eyebrow.
In some cases, after the facial Thermage session, a first Fraxel Dual laser session is performed to remove fine wrinkles around the eyes. Between 2 and 4 Fraxel sessions may be carried out (1 every 30 days).
The combination of both procedures is ideal because they work at all levels of the skin: epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous tissue. Fraxel Dual laser works on the epidermis and superficial dermis, while Thermage FLX radiofrequency acts on the deeper dermis and subcutaneous tissue.
The results can be seen immediately and continue to improve for up to 6 months. Depending on the condition of the skin and the natural ageing process, the results can last for years.
