    How do we treat adult acne at Ribe Clinic?

    We offer a wide range of technologies and treatments for adult acne.

    Daily morning and evening facial cleansing is the foundation of treatment for mild, moderate and severe adult acne. It regulates oil production, removes sebum and impurities, exfoliates the skin and helps maintain a healthy skin flora.

    Creams containing active anti-acne ingredients are recommended to regulate sebum production, along with probiotics to support the skin microbiome, glycolic acid or retinol-based actives for exfoliation, and moisturising products that hydrate without making the skin oily.

    They reduce and regulate sebum production, help calm inflammation and prevent acne marks in cases of mild and moderate adult acne. Several layers of acids are applied and activated with red LED light (photodynamic peel). We also use blue LED light to target the bacteria associated with adult acne.

    For the treatment of mild and moderate adult acne, we use light-emitting diodes at different wavelengths. Different LED light colours have different effects.

    LED light photons have beneficial effects on the skin, helping to reduce inflammation, target bacteria, accelerate skin repair, stimulate metabolism and promote collagen production. It is a painless, non-invasive treatment.

    For mild and moderate adult acne, especially when there is inflammation and red marks. In some cases of adult acne with a marked inflammatory component and red marks, IPL treatment may be needed, as it helps reduce sebum production, bacteria and redness.
